In addition to the one year return to base warranty supplied free of charge with all Avantis products, Avantis offer a range of optional service, support, installation and maintenance products. This package is called the 'Avantis Support Pack'  and includes an Installation Day Service, Extended Warranty Options and On Site Service Contracts, which can be purchased as separate services.

These services can be purchased through the distribution channel (excluding USA) when you purchase your server.  Avantis will also be happy to quote for providing support for older products - please contact with details of your product and which Support Pack products are of interest to you.

Installation Day Service
The Installation day service provides an Avantis engineer at the customer’s site for installation and/or training purposes for up to 7.5 hours. The minimum achievement will be that your CDserve or Nexus will be left in an operational condition, connected to the customer’s network and capable of being administered from the designated administrator’s workstation. The service will cover installation to user workstations only where time is available for this task. The engineer will also offer familiarisation and informal training if required as time permits.
Extended Warranties
Extended warranties allow the customer to extend the normal 12-month return-to-base warranty for the second year, or second and third years. If the warranty is required for the third year it must be purchased at the same time as the second year warranty.

The warranties include parts and labour, and the cost of return shipment from Avantis.

On-Site Service Contract
This service is provided under contract. Avantis will make every effort to resolve the customer's difficulty by telephone, but if this proves impossible, an Avantis engineer will attend the customer's site on the next working day. Please contact us for more extensive cover options (including 7 day and 24 hour - 7 day cover).

In the case of CDserve+, where it is apparent that the failure is due to a failed Hard Disk Drive, Avantis reserve the right to replace the faulty machine with a similar machine by 10:00 am the following day.
