Tandberg VXA Drives

The VXA-2 is the second-generation drive based on the award winning VXA packet technology, providing 160GB of data storage at up to 12Mb/s.. VXA-2 is fully compatible with all VXA drives, media, and automation products currently available from IBM, Compaq, Apple, Fujitsu, Toshiba and others.

The VXA-320 Packet Tape Drive, offers up to 24MB/s and 160/320GB of data on a single tape. The VXA-320 allows you to select the tape capacity that best suits your needs with three different tape capacities, the smaller capacities lowering your purchase costs.  160GB/320 GB (X23 tape), 86/172GB (X10 tape) and 40/80GB (X6 tape).

VXA products have been disaster-tested by Tandberg Data and independent labs under the most severe conditions – including violent vibration, immersion in volcanic dust, boiling water and hot coffee, and even freezing cartridges in ice – to assure reliable and complete data restores.
