The Opticon MSH-119 Bar Code Wand is a rugged pen type bar code reader.  It's stainless steel case and synthetic ruby ball tip give extra protection against any damage.  This ruby ball tip allows a consistent read performance by protecting the optics from dust and dirt.  With a smooth stroke it reads the barcode labels easily and doesn't damage the paper.
The Opticon MSH-119 is an undecoded barcode wand that needs to be connected to a Microbar NX decoder, but as a direct result of it's technology, the MSH119 will work with most decoders available in the market.
The presence of optical bandpass filters and electrical filters ensures that the MSH119 will read bar code labels in direct sunlight or under strong fluorescent lighting.   The MSH119 bar code wand is available with either a red or infra-red light source.
A range of resolutions from 0.10 to 0.40 millimeters is available to accommodate reading both high, low and medium density labels.
Because of it's durability and tilt angle of up to fifty degrees, this bar code wand is a perfect scanning device to be used in combination with hand held terminals.
