Details The Tandberg SLR24 offers Scalable Linear Recording with a 24Gb data storage capacity at transfer rates of up to 8.6Gb per hour.(assuming 2:1 data compression) This Tandberg SLR24 provides a high powered storage solution for your PC, PC servers and smaller mid-range systems. It is ideal for busy and fast growing small businesses utlilizing typical office applications, data bases, e-mail and print/file server. The soft-load mechanism on the Tandberg SLR24 adds data-security by preventing unauthorised access to the cartridge, and allows integration of the tape drive into autoloader systems for unattended backup, archival, or near-line storage. The Tandberg SLR24 secures your future capcity and performance needs by offering one of the most scalable tape storage technologies available. Compatibility with Tandberg SLR32 and SLR50 provides a migration path to 50Gb in a single drive or 2Tb capacity in a Tandberg Library system. The SLR24 comes complete with Tape AlertTM, which is an added security feature that provides the user with diagnostic messages and recommended actions. The Tandberg SLR24 drive utilizes highly proven linear recording technology, providing superior reliability (<1.5% field returns), MTBF = 300,000 hours, backed by a 3 year tape drive warranty. |
