Details The Tandberg Digital Linear Tape 8000 offers 80Gb of data storage capacity at transfer rates of up to 40Gb per hour.(assuming 2:1 data compression). This performance makes the Tandberg DLT8000 the ideal choice for mid-range computers, network servers, high-end workstations and mainframe enviroments utilizing Windows NT, NetWare and UNIX operating systems. The design and performance of the Tandberg DLT8000 offers 15% higher capacity and 20% faster throughput than the Tandberg DLT7000 tape drive. To ensure accuracy and data security, the Tandberg DLT8000 recording head has a average life of 50,000 hours and 250,000 hours MTBF. The Tandberg DLT8000 has full read and write compatibility (with the correct cartridge) with all current and previous DLT tape products both from Tandberg Data and other manufacturers thus securing your investment.
