| NON-EXPANDABLE DUMB SERIAL BOARDS Smartio Family The Smartio Family consists of the C168H, C168H/PCI and C104H boards. The Smartio C168H is a half size board with surface mount technology which provides a high speed, 921.6k bps, multi-serial solution for PC/AT and compatible systems. The Smartio C168H provides 8 asynchronous serial communication channels which allow you to connect to any serial device - such as modems, terminals, printers etc. It has a switchless and jumperless design and is easily configured by software. The Smartio C168H/PCI is a PCI compatible board, providing a multi-serial solution for the PCI bus. One of the advantages of the PCI design is that the system resources (I/O space, IRQ) are assigned automatically by the system. This makes the board installation easier because there is no need to check the I/O space and interrupt resource. The Smartio C104H provides 4 RS-232 communication channels. |
