illy E.S.E coffee pods
The pre-packed single servings of coffee, known as E.S.E (Easy Serving Espresso), is an individual portion of pre-ground coffee, sealed between two layers of filter paper.  The francisfrancis X1 makes its best coffee with this system, and has a specially shaped extraction chamber, into which the E.S.E serving fits perfectly.  This method produces a superior cup of espresso coffee.

Pods are sold in vacuum sealed tins, containing 18 individual servings.  Craystone sell CASES of 10 sealed tins.  You can choose between medium roast or decaf medium roast.

If you do not wish to use the E.S.E system, and prefer to use your own blend, then simply use your own coffee along with the ground coffee adapter kit.
