Details The Tandberg SLR5 offers Scalable Linear Recording with a 8Gb data storage capacity at transfer rates of up to 2.7Gb per hour (assuming 2:1 data compression). The Tandberg SLR5 is made for people who understand the vital importance of preserving data and information for their organization. It provides a high powered storage solution for your PC, PC servers and smaller mid-range systems. It is ideal for busy and fast growing small businesses utlilizing typical office applications, data bases, e-mail and print/file server. The Tandberg SLR5 has read and write capability (with the correct cartridge) with previous SLR tape products (SLR2-SLR4 - it backwards reads and writes to QIC2Gb, QIC1000 and QIC525) and provides migration capabilities to the 25/50Gb class. The Tandberg SLR5 drive utilizes highly proven linear recording technology, providing superior reliability (<1.% field returns) backed by a 3 year tape drive warranty.
